Ryan Buttigieg was once in those shoes, working 14-hour days for a boss who barely knew his name. Overworked, and with a half-broken spirit, Buttigieg mustered his strength, rallied his courage, quit his job, and went on to build a very successful company, Change Online.
“I was a chef for nine years, living paycheck to paycheck. I didn’t have time for my family, my kids, or even myself. I knew I had to find something that allowed me to make more money while being able to spend more time with my family,” says Ryan Buttigieg. “I always heard about people making money online, and I got to a point in my life where I needed to take the leap. I needed to try something different. It was now or never.”
Shortly after quitting his job, Buttigieg joined an online mentoring program in hopes that he’d quickly learn everything he needed to jumpstart a career in eCommerce and dropshipping.
But he made a crucial mistake.
He dove in without doing any research. The training methods the program used were dated, and he only spent a huge lump of cash with no return.
“My brother and I were affiliates of a training program before we started our own thing. It was a rash decision that turned into a costly lesson. We spent a lot of money and time in the wrong area, but at least we learned to do our research first and not always be so naïve,” says Buttigieg. “Luckily, we found our own way and went all in.”
And boy, did Ryan Buttigieg find his way. He soon started Change Online and three years after that mistake, he’s now running a successful eCommerce business that rakes in hundreds of thousands each month.
While it was a huge personal accomplishment, as he left a $20,000-per-year job to earn five times that amount in a month, building a successful business without anyone’s help but his brother’s help was hard and exhausting. The whole experience made them realize that there is a genuine need for mentorship programs and that they could be the ones to help people reach their dreams.
“I always had a passion for helping others. That’s how I was raised. And we were helping some close family members to start their online side hustle,” says Buttigieg. “So it just made sense to create a mentoring program.”
From that moment, Change Online stopped being just another eCommerce company. Change Online evolved into a sanctuary where people who want to build a better future for themselves and their families can find all tools, skills, and knowledge needed to achieve that.
Change Online teaches dropshipping, white labeling, private labeling, and B2B, which is, according to Ryan, currently the best opportunity in eCommerce.
