The Olympic swimmer and his fiancee, Kayla Rae Reid, announced on Wednesday via Instagram that they are expecting their first child.

Reid shared a similar underwater shot of Lochte kissing her belly, adding, “life always surprises you with blessings when least expect it.”

The couple announced their engagement in October.
The news was a happy change for Lochte after his dramatic exit from the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, where he lied about being robbed at gunpoint.
